Genoxus Launches Variant Analysis™ v1.0 to Help Researchers Uncover Insights in Genetic Data

New genomic interpretation platform integrates variant annotation, phenotype correlation, and AI-assisted prioritization to support rare-disease and genomic research.

SAN DIEGO, CA. — October 26, 2026 — Genoxus today announced the launch of Genoxus Variant Analysis™ v1.0, a genomic interpretation platform and service offering designed to help research teams investigate genetic variants, connect findings with disease-related evidence, and organize results into structured research reports.

While modern sequencing technologies generate enormous amounts of genetic data, identifying which variants may be relevant to a research question remains a significant challenge. Genoxus Variant Analysis™ aims to help bridge that gap by bringing key interpretation capabilities together in an integrated workflow.

“Sequencing generates data. Interpretation delivers insights,” said Jingqi Duan, Founder and CEO of Genoxus. “Our goal is to help researchers look beyond extensive variant lists, connect the evidence, and identify candidates that deserve closer investigation, particularly in rare-disease research and cases that remain unresolved.”

Bringing Key Interpretation Capabilities Together

Genoxus Variant Analysis™ v1.0 supports the investigation of single-nucleotide variants (SNVs/SNPs), copy-number variants (CNVs), and structural variants (SVs). Its workflow combines several capabilities to help researchers organize and prioritize genomic findings:

  • Variant Annotation and Filtering: Adds relevant context and narrows large variant sets for further investigation.
  • Phenotype Correlation: Helps researchers evaluate relationships between reported traits and genetic findings.
  • Evidence-Informed Review: Organizes relevant information from sources such as ClinVar and OMIM, where applicable.
  • AI-Assisted Prioritization: Helps identify candidate variants and genes for additional review.
  • Structured Research Reporting: Presents findings in an organized format to support scientific review and follow-up investigation.

The integrated workflow is designed to support research teams examining complex genetic data, including rare-disease investigations and cases where initial analyses have not produced clear answers.

“Genomic interpretation is not simply about finding a variant; it is about understanding the evidence surrounding it and determining what should be investigated next,” Duan added. “We are building Genoxus to support that process and to collaborate with research teams working to advance our understanding of genetic disease.”

Advancing Collaborative Genomic Research

Genoxus is developing its platform with a focus on collaboration among genomic research teams, sequencing laboratories, and scientific partners. By combining computational analysis with evidence-based review, the company aims to make complex variant interpretation workflows more organized and accessible.

Version 1.0 establishes a foundation for continued development, with future directions that may include expanded gene-level analysis and the integration of additional biological data types.

Research Use Only

Genoxus Variant Analysis™ v1.0 is intended for research use only (RUO). It is not intended to diagnose, prevent, or treat disease, replace clinical genetic testing, or provide medical advice. Computational findings require appropriate independent evaluation and additional validation before any clinical use.
